Music is an essential part of Munich. This hall in the Residenz Palace, simplistic in design but ideal for music, hosts some of the finest symphony and chamber concerts in the country. Promenade concerts by the Bayerische Rundfunk take place here regularly on Sundays, as does the 'musica viva' series, featuring contemporary electronic music.
