Hotel Deutsche Eiche - details

This hotel-cum-restaurant reputedly has the best men's sauna in Bavaria. Slightly different to what you would expect of a 'normal' hotel, the Deutsche Eiche is a magnet for gay men from all over Europe. Over fifty years old, the hotel was recently renovated along environmentally-friendly lines. The excess energy from the refrigerators, for example, is used to heat water. The Deutsche Eiche also helps organise Munich's Christopher Street Day and even initiated the rebuilding of the Klenze Memorial on Gärtnerplatz.
